Day 30: Me, Then
Me last month in a lovely place in Abruzzo.
This will be the final image of the September Photo a Day Challenge, and also the last post on this blog.
I have enjoyed posting up an image a day according to a given topic suggested by Chantelle of Fat Mum Slim blog..

Day 29: An Errand
Going to the local supermarket to get some things for my mother, I got distracted and couldn't resiost buying some mince pies.
Yes, I know it's still only September and mince pies are for Christmas, but they looked too good to leave on the shelf!!
That's my excuse anyway.

Day 19: Price
You can see the price of this book called Garbo, A Portrait by Alexander Walker, in the bottom right and corner.
This is a photo I have just taken of the back page cover. It is a fantastic book, full of beautiful black and white images of one of my all-time favourite actresses, Greta Garbo.

Day 17: In My Fridge
A lot of fruit and vegetables from the garden, including grapes, melon, peppers, courgettes and peaches in the lower cabinets. The lemons are shop-bought. Sadly my 3 lemon trees got badly affected by the snow earlier this year. They are recovering, however, so hopefully we'll have our own fresh lemons again next spring.. A tin of cat food can also be seen!

Day 16: Unusual
This memorial plaque is situated right outside a school in a local village here in Abruzzo.
The sign states that the memorial is to those who have died for their country whilst doing their civic duty.

Day 11: Black + White
One of our kittens with no name, who is looking for a new home....
He is so adorable, I am sure someone in Abruzzo will fall in love with him?
This black and white picture was taken this morning using my hubby's camera, a Nikon D200. It is a far more powerful camera than my little Finepix AV, which doesn't have black & white photo feature.

Day 10: My Hero
I have just taken a screenshot of one of my favourite photos of My Hero. He is notoriously difficult to take a photo of and is camera shy in fact.
Why is he My Hero? Well, life has never been dull or quiet since I met him in 1989. He is very clever and makes me laugh. He has many talents and skills, including being a top motorbike instructor. The most important thing of all is that he is my loyal companion and best friend.
This year we celebrated our 20th Anniversary by going on a special motorbike trip in Abruzzo.

Day 9: Something I Do Most Weekends
I usually try to think of posts to write for my main blog.
I also check on the Clustrs Map every Sunday.
I'm thrilled I've had nearly 50,000 visitors since I began Janet's Abruzzo Edublog in 2009.

Day 7: Natural
Victoria looking outside and Sam looking inside. They don't actually like each other at all.
In the distance you can make out the natural scenery that surrounds them.

Day 4: In My Postbox
We don't usually get much post, so I'm always pleased when I hear the postman's van pulling up.
Today I received a postcard from my friend Daphne, sent from her holiday in France.
I love receiving postcards from around the world! I still appreciate good, old-fashioned snailmail...

Day 3: Far Away
This photo is of a card sent to me by my mum, who is far away in England. The words inside the card written by her are very thoughtful and I can't wait to see her again soon...

Day 2: Father
A recent photo of my father. I owe a lot to him. He helped shape me as a person, and I value and cherish everything he has taught me about life and values. He is a wonderful father.
Above you can see a portrait of my dad as a young man, detail taken from an original painting. This is a photo of part of the painting.

Day One: Self Portrait
I have just taken a photo of myself right now, just before midnight. I have used my trusted camera, a Fujifilm Finepix 14 megapixels.
Introduction to a September Photo a Day Project
I have been inspired to do a special photography project just for September. I came across a fabulous blog called FatMumSlim and it outlines daily prompts for a September Photo a Day challenge.
I thought it might be fun to do this just for one month, (in addition to my Project 366 blog) and see if I can follow the prompts for September...
